a little bit of organizing at the shop

I did a little bit of organizing at the shop. There's a little spot by one of the side windows that had not been utilized much... until now! I like it.

spinach

I love spinach. I was a picky eater as a child, and there weren't that many kinds of vegetables that I liked; however, spinach was always delicious to me!

I don't like to eat raw spinach. At home my mom would stir-fry it and simply seasoned it with some salt and chopped garlic, and this has been what I like to do with spinach all these years that I've been cooking for John and myself.

These days I also like to put spinach on many other dishes!

In a Korean-inspired ramyeon and tteok soup.

In yakisoba.

Mmmmm... spinach.

that solar eclipse back in May

I was organizing some of my photos and saw a few pics that I took during the May 20th Solar Eclipse. No I was not prepared for it, I simply tried to look at the sun (!) and snap a few shots where I could. And no I didn't see that "ring of fire," but I did see a little shadow of the moon that was caught on my camera!

where is it?

My friend Nobu took a whole series of photos of the eclipse  from his home in Japan. Check them out. They are awesome!

gonna visit Seoul

I have been slacking off on blogging. I have a lot that I want to write down, but I've been occupied with doing researches on one particular subject -- Seoul! The reason? John and I are going to visit Seoul, Korea later this year! Yay!

As I have been very interested in the Korean food, and its language and pop culture, I decided that I would like to go to Korea this year! John booked the flights and hotels for us already, too! Because of this I have been learning to speak Korean, and reading up on different areas to explore, and to eat at, in Seoul.

The trip is still a few months away, but I'm already getting excited!
