things i have been doing these days

Things I have been doing a lot these days: making coffee (duh!) getting acupuncture (!) and learning to make, making, and eating Korean food!

I make coffee because I like it and it's also my job. I get acupuncture because I am enjoying the experience and the effects it has on me (yay!) I am learning to make, making, and eating Korean food because I am very interested (and obsessed?) with the Korean food and culture right now.

Fun stuff. Hopefully I will have some good insights to share soon!

little gifts for Katrina

Katrina has been reading my Taiwanese blog for a while and she hit the number 100,000 visitor on the site... and therefore she got a couple little gifts! :D

A cute pair of earrings for Katrina.

And a big Blythe tote for Katrina and her baby... the bag is big enough to be a diaper bag!

I hope she likes and enjoys the gifts!

100000!

Some of you know that I have another blog that's in Taiwanese/Mandarin Chinese. The other day I noticed it was approaching 100,000 hits (the blog site has a counter built-in!) It's no big deal, but a couple friends suggested that I made a game out of it to see who would hit the fun number of 100,000.

So I posted the "game rules" and proposed that whoever hit the number 99999, 100000, or 100001, to take a picture of it and send it to me, and I'd give away a present to whomever hit one of these numbers.

And I got a response!

It's from my friend Katrina! Now I'm looking for a proper gift to send to her. It's nice to know that people read the silly little things that I post. Thanks Katrina!

slightly busy

a-gui

It's raining and snowing a bit outside today. Yay! I just love these cooler days!

So I haven't been blogging these days. I've been slightly busy at/with the caffe, and I've also been doing research for other projects and learning.

I've also been a bit under the weather. My voice went away for a couple days last weekend, but I'm now able to talk with my deeper and scratchier voice (which I kind of like! hehehe.)

Anyhow, I shall resume my blogging-ness!

yesterday

I was blogging on my yichingsays TAIWAN blog (in Chinese) last night and noticed that there was a new icon on the bottom of the entry that says "today in history." I clicked on it and realized that it was the first anniversary of my Chinese blog!

I can't belive it's been a year. I was reading along some of my previous posts and noticed that I had always been talking about pretty much the same things: coffee, food, John, our dogs and pets, silly things I see or hear, and small things here and there.

It's been a fun year of Chinese blogging. I'm going to keep it up.

Happy Anniversary my Chinese blog.

new look

John and I have been trying to make the caffe's web site more "professional" looking and after working on the template for a while we set our eyes on this current one (with some customization and adjustment). We're still trying to make better, more informative, and "useful," but I'm glad we've made some progress with it thus far.

Update: I decided to give my blog a slight makerover as well. I love the colors, but apparently the photos I use are usually too big, because most of the photos are cut off on the right-hand side! I guess I'm going to start using smaller pictures from now on.

yay!

I'm feeling happy and accomplished today, because I've finally figured out how to group my blogs together on blogger.

I lost my "identity" when blogger started to require all users to have a google account. This blog became one of the caffe d'bolla team member and I could not leave comments on people's blogs as myself easily.

Anyhow, this Blogger help hint was really helpful and I finally got my identity back after all the switching and tweaking. Yay!

I even found a fun photo from our recent Japan trip as my profile pic!
