I just read about how an apple juice a day may do the job of keeping Alzheimer's disease at bay. I googled the topic and found out that this was actually not 'new' news. There were a few other research labs that had published similar results for the past few years.
This is one of the most current articles I read. Here's another one. Interesting.

coffee is good
A little bit ago I posted about how coffee helps your brain protect you, and then I found that people had been studying the benefit of drinking coffee. Studies show that that coffee may help prevent colon cancer (Reuters), and that it may also help prevent liver cancer (USA Today), or breast cancer (Science Daily).
Today I read about another research on how coffee may help prevent cervical cancer. (I read it on a Taiwanese medical site, but I'll post it if I do read it in English later on.)

keep writing!
A professor from the University of Texas has conducted a research since the mid 1980s and found that when a person writes 15 minutes a day, 4 days a week, his or her health improves.
Writing is a wonderful way to relieve stress and pressure. I never thought of it that way... but I can totally relate. Not too long ago I was feeling really stressed and I actually wrote a little poem about it, and magically I felt better, and when I read the poem again later on I smile (for some reason).
So keep on writing. OK these days I should say, keep on blogging. Write about happy things, and sad things, and things that make you think and wonder. It's therapeutic and fun!

pavarotti
I was talking to Mariha and Mary at the caffe about how today feels a bit funky. Mary talked about how hard she cried in her car when she heard that Luciano Pavarotti died today.
It is sad to see a legend passed, and the sky seems to be a bit gray because of it as well.
