I thought I'd update about our trip in Tokyo every night... if I'm not too tired to do so... just so I can come back and write more about our trip in detail (with photos) later on.
We are in Tokyo now. We arrived at Narita and used a Narita Express (N'EX) & Suica Card combo deal to get to our hotel in Ikebukuro. Everyone we met was really nice. We took a lot of pictures like cool tourists would do. hahaha.
We were really happy to see that our hotel was just across street from the station, especially after a long day of travel.
We ate ramen at the famous Mutekiya. I was glad that we didn't have to stay in line for too long before we were able to get into the shop. Yummy noodles. Awesome.
We were going to purchase tickets for Miyazaki's Museum at Lawson (a Japanese convenience store chain) but weren't able to locate one properly. OK I couldn't find where exactly the store was. It didn't really matter because I just found that there were no tickets left for the day we were planning on going. Guess we have to move the Miyazaki area trip to another day.
I'm going to nap now. The hotel room is not too big but it's comfy. Yay.

thriving ivory - angels on the moon
The first time I heard this song on the radio my tears just started dropping. I think it's because the line that goes, "If I can't see the sun, maybe I should go."
I am better at stopping my tears today.
Angels On The Moon - Thriving Ivory
Do you dream, that the world will know your name?
So tell me your name
And do you care, about all the little things or anything at all?
I wanna feel, all the chemicals inside I wanna feel
I wanna sunburn, just to know that I'm alive
To know I'm alive
Don't tell me if I'm dying, 'cause I don't wanna know
If I can't see the sun, maybe I should go
Don't wake me 'cause I'm dreaming, of angels on the moon
Where everyone you know, never leaves too soon
Do you believe, in the day that you were born?
Tell me, do you believe?
And do you know, that everyday's the first of the rest of your life?
Don't tell me if I'm dying, 'cause I don't wanna know
If I can't see the sun, maybe I should go
Don't wake me 'cause I'm dreaming, of angels on the moon
Where everyone you know, never leaves too soon
This is to one last day in the shadows
And to know a brother's love
This is to New York City angels
And the rivers of our blood
This is to all of us, to all of us
So don't tell me if I'm dying, 'cause I don't wanna know
If I can't see the sun, maybe I should go
Don't wake me cause I'm dreaming, of angels on the moon
Where everyone you know, never leaves too soon
Yeah, you can tell me all your thoughts
About the stars that fill polluted skies
And show me where you run to
When no one's left to take your side
But don't tell me where the road ends
'Cause I just don't wanna know,
No I don't wanna know
Don't tell me if I'm dying
Don't tell me if I'm dying
Don't tell me if I'm dying

being ready
I'm not quite ready, but I will be.
John said to think like the Irish. It made sense.
Celebrate. Cheers. Run. Jump. Chase. Rainbow.

snow
We got our first notable snow shower yesterday. It was never snowing big, but the little flakes just kept coming down all afternoon.
Nobody was sitting out on the patio.
Not even under the patio umbrella.
It stopped snowing last night and the sun came out this morning. It's getting cold! I wonder if we're going to have a short fall and head stright toward winter weather right away.

camel on truck
I was leaving the county building after voting last Friday, and saw a camel on a pick-up trick! He was not tied up or anything, and it didn't look like there was anything used to "secure" him... but he was just standing and hanging out on the truck.
I'm not making this up. This guy was huge! He was looking all around and stuck his tongue out once in a while. Seriously. I pulled out my camera but he turned away.
Apparently "camel on truck" is not that uncommon... I googled it and found many more cool camels on trucks. Interesting.
This camel almost looked as if he was going to step out of the truck any time. I wonder where he came from and where he was going.

i voted
Yesterday was the last to vote early for the upcoming election, so in order to avoid the big crowds next Tuesday, I went and voted. I wouldn't say it was a "historical moment" for me, but it was pretty cool because it was the first time I voted (and could vote.)
There were tons of people at the Salt Lake County Offices where I voted... but everyone seemed happy and were staying in line and following instructions from the county staff.
The voting machines were cool, and since it was Halloween, many workers and voters were in interesting costumes. It was a fun experience.
Yay I voted!
