foggy

I was driving back to the caffe from home (around 5:30pm) and saw the thick fog on I-15. It was crazy. The thick fog is still lingering around downtown as of now!

Thick fog.

As I'm looking out of the window now I can still see the thick fog occupying the streets. It almost looks like it's raining a bit. :0

snow

We got our first notable snow shower yesterday. It was never snowing big, but the little flakes just kept coming down all afternoon.

Nobody was sitting out on the patio.

Not even under the patio umbrella.

It stopped snowing last night and the sun came out this morning. It's getting cold! I wonder if we're going to have a short fall and head stright toward winter weather right away.

hailling

The almost-spring weather these days has been lovely, but yesterday afternoon and this morning there were a couple hail storms passing through the city. They came and went in a matter of minutes.

And I kept wanting to collect some hail to make a snowcone with.

little visitors

I found these little footprints in front of our garage yesterday. Apparently *someone* has been taking little walks on our snow-covered driveway... right in front of our "dog room" (Adam helped us build walls all around our big car port with walls, windows, and two French doors so the dogs can be "inside" where there's plenty of room for them to play and rest when we're out without having to be "inside".) I bet the dogs all get slightly crazy when they watch these little visitors stroll down the driveway.

I think these are probably from the two neighborhood cats that I see hanging out in our backyard and by the neighbor's garage sometimes.

cute garbage cans

We've got quite some snow this season, and there was a bit more yesterday. When I was pulling into our driveway I saw our two garbage cans standing in front of the garage door with snow on the tops and icicles on the rims. For some odd reason I thought they were really cute... and looked like they were 'just hanging out' in the snow.

The black one is for regular garbage, and the green one is for recyclables.

let it snow, let it snow, let it snow

It snowed a LOT yesterday and it was the first time (that I know of) when the University of Utah declared a snow day. The school never closed for anything during my undergrad and grad school days.

And the snow is starting to fall really big again now!
