spring is green

The plants we have in the shop are pretty green all-year-round, but this time of year the green leaves always seem brighter and cuter!



And new "strands" have also been branching out. So cute!

Spring in Salt Lake City is nice. It almost feels like an exotic city of some sort, with the magnolia popping up everywhere, and the tulips, and the daffodil... so beautiful!



Every time I see the magnolia trees while the flowers are all over them, I'd think of Ueno Park and its beautiful sakura flowers in the spring!

But then it's also getting warmer and warmer by the day, and the flowers start to go away. What comes next is the heat soon. Ahhh!

It's a really nice day out there... clear blue sky, no clouds, and no wind.

But I'm sort of missing the rain, and the rainbows I saw last week:

I once heard the weatherman said that March was one of the wettest month in Utah, and I didn't quite think it was true.

And today it rained, and then snowed... and it's continuing doing so.

I guess the weatherman is probably right.

spring is here

Everywhere I look... spring is totally here. The dandilions are just coming like a storm, the grass is growing super fast, and the new bright green leaves are coming out... even on pine trees.

Spring in Utah can be crazy. You get big sunshine one day, and snow storm the other. It's pretty warm today, and I'm sitting here at the caffe, actually missing the light spring snow shower two days ago.

I believe there's another storm coming in later tomorrow... I bet I'll be thinking about the sunshine then.

It had been pretty warm for the past few days, but yesterday morning when we stepped out of the house this is what I saw:


Spring snow!

On our drive to the shop it was almost like winter all over, and some people already forgot how to drive in the snow.

The snow shower came and went, and the sun came out... everything melted right away, except for this:

And then it's over 50 degrees again today, but the weatherman said there's another little storm coming in tomorrow. Yes this IS spring in Utah.

The almost-spring weather these days has been lovely, but yesterday afternoon and this morning there were a couple hail storms passing through the city. They came and went in a matter of minutes.



And I kept wanting to collect some hail to make a snowcone with.
