a-gui and torsion

After staying with us for about 6 months, Torsion is now home with his mom!

Almost two months ago we brought a-gui home. He was a tiny little guy, and quickly became friends with Torsion. I have been "documenting" how fast a-gui grows, and I have a few pictures of him and Torsion together to show how rapidly(!) a-gui is growing.

This was taken about a week after a-gui came to our home.

a-gui was about 3 months old, and not much "longer" than Torsion, but slightly taller.

a-gui was about 4 months old, and starting to show his long(er) legs.

This was taken about 10 days ago, where a-gui had been with us about a month and a half.

See how big a-gui has gotton?!

He officially doubled in size (weighted around Christmas) in less than two months!

I love puppies, and I love a-gui, even if he's going to grow into a giant, giant dog.

a year

naicha
Naicha!

It's been a year! Not much has changed, but I guess you probably have heard there's a lovely little guy in the household:

A-Gui runnin'. I think Yama is chasing after him.

He likes running and playing, and chewing on lots of things... just like you!

Yama and Nuki are teaching A-Gui how to play!

And you know it, the kitties are being kitties!

We love you!

the small one

Torsion has been staying with us (while Joyce is back in Taiwan) for a couple of weeks now, and everyone knows he's tiny compared to Nuki and Yama.

But then Nuki is big anyhow, so in order to see how tiny Torsion really is, I have to compare him to Jasper.

Jasper is not a big cat, mind you.

Torsion is really, REALLY tiny, Joyce!

not small after all

We always call Yama "our small dog." He is... especially when compared to Nuki (100 lbs) and Naicha (140 lbs.)

Torsion has been staying with us for a few days, and he enjoys hanging out with Yama. After seeing them together I've realized Yama is not small after all.

Yama and Torsion "forced" to pose for a picture while watching John prepare food. I had to take the picture from this angle so both of the dogs could fit in the photo!

torsion in stripe-y shirt

My little doggie friend Torsion loves to wear clothes, especially in cold weather. I wish my dogs would let me dress them sometimes, even though they probably never need any.

Joyce got Torsion a Disney stripe-y polo shirt. It even has Mickey embroidered in the front. Nice.

emo torsion

My friend Joyce's dachshund Torsion is a very good friend of mine, and he lets me fix his "hair-do" sometimes...

purple torsion

I made an amigurumi dachshund for my friend Joyce's birthday! I was inspired by Joyce's dachshund Torsion and decided to make an amigurumi Torsion.

Purple Torsion at the restaurant. I know he looks sort of like an elephant...

I couldn't find any Dachshund amigurumi patterns, so I pretty much made it up myself... and you can totally tell. His body and legs are just chubby, and his head is giant... but I hope Joyce would think he was cute.

He looks more like a Dachshund in this photo.

Yama likes Purple Torsion.

Jasper likes Purple Torsion as well...

I think Joyce likes Purple Torsion! Happy Birthday Joyce!

new friends

I met a lovely couple from Taiwan (and/or Kansas) a couple months ago, and learned that they loved animals, too, so I've been enjoying our conversations every time I see them.

And yesterday they brought their cute long hair Miniature Dachshund, Torsion, to see me at the caffe... he was soooo tiny!

Joyce & Torsion

He was shy at first, but after walking with him for a little bit, and feeding him a piece of bread, he had since become my friend.

It's a great thing to meet new friends... both humans and animals!
