I was eating some yogurt-coated raisins while I was driving home the other day, and I saw this car with a license plate saying "DR. FIT". I popped in a few more of the yummy treat in my mouth, and thought of making some yummy noodles with a lot of meats, vegetables and spices for dinner, and whether or not I should get a grape Icee when I stopped for gas.
Then I thought of the fact that DR. FIT would probably frown upon my snacking, eating excessive noodles, and wanting grape Icee all the time. I wonder if DR. FIT is really fit, and if he would honk at me if he sees me eating treats while I'm driving.
I've been selling some things on eBay. I sell clothing, bag, and accessories from the little boutique, which is going pretty well. Recently I've been thinking about opening up an eBay store, so I'm doing research on it, and it's fun. "Doing business is fun!" is what I've come to realize these days.
It's so exciting to do research on business projects. I feel very "useful" every time I find some interesting information and leads, especially for our caffe, and I'm hoping to use my knowledge on the eBay stores. We'll see how I do!
It's the lunar Chinese New Year today, and we're going to make hot pot later on today. John asked me what we do in Taiwan to celebrate Chinese New Year... we usually go and see family and friends, eat a bunch, and watch silly television shows. Yes I said it... we don't do much. But this is a time when family gather together to eat big meals and snacks and play cards, which is a good thing.
It's the Year of the Golden Pig and while I was in Japan this past December I took a picture of this little piggy on a wall... in the bowl he's holding it says "Home Dry", and later I realized he was advertising for a dry cleaning store.
Both John and I are going to spend most of Valentine's Day at the caffe, and therefore there's not really any romantic Valentine's dinner... however he did manage to pour me a wonderful triple heart latte! It's so pretty!
Some of you might have noticed that this blog was not view-able for a few days. I was trying to switch to the new blogger and accidentally messed it up. But for now I think the problem has been semi-fixed. It's not perfect, but at least I can post as myself, so yay!
I created a Myspace account for the caffe and for some odd reason the profile was all "stretched out" now! It happened a few days ago and I'm still not able to fix it. A few friends sent me special codes or gave me editing hints but none of them worked! So if you are reading this and have a moment to check out the caffe d'bolla Myspace profile please do so. And if you help me fix the problem I'll reward you a yummy drink as a thank you.
It snowed a little bit again last night, which was a good thing... the sky was a bit clearer after the long inversion in Salt Lake valley the past couple of weeks. I like the snow here in Salt Lake because it's light, fluffy, and overall pleasant. The only thing I don't like is to have to drive in the snow... well, I should say that I don't like how some people drive in the snow.
The dogs love the snow a lot! When the snow is small they'll stand in the backyard and let the fluffy snowflakes fall on their head and their nose, and when it's a bigger storm they'll run around and chase each other and make loud noises. Naicha also enjoys eating the snow.
The snow has stopped since last night, and the inversion and smog are slowly coming back. We've had the worse air quality in the whole U.S. for the past couple of weeks! Not cool, not cool... well at least the dogs didn't seem to mind too much.
